I have THE worst abdominal, pelvic, and lower back pain. But my OB/GYN actually doesn't think it's related to my Endometriosis.

So WTF is it then?

He thinks maybe I should see a Urologist who may decide I should get a cystoscopy. Yeah, sounds fun! And if I reach a dead end there then maybe I should go in a GI direction.

I mean something is causing major discomfort and sometimes extremely sharp pains.

He just does want to consider a 2nd laparoscopy unless other things are ruled out first. There's also the option of trying Lupron which I'm not a huge fan of.

But I know something is up. I'm just tired and frustrated.

Oh and to top it off, I have 2 days to make a decision about my job. STRESS.

Wth, we have the same health issues, all the above... so I feel your pain (& stress w/ my own job). Do you have any idea which way you are leaning toward with your job yet?? :-/

I actually made my job decision today. I'm staying with my current hospital, which means making the move with one of the doctors. It was really hard to make that decision. It means leaving most of the staff behind and that other 2 doctors. I'll still keep my own doctor as my own and stuff. Ultimately it seemed right. With my health issues and stuff, I just couldn't afford to lose all my vacation/sick time and they offered me $1.50/hr raise. I can't afford to turn down money. I'll miss everyone, especially working for my own doctor 'cause I adore him but I like the one I'm leaving with too so I think it'll be okay. Plus we're getting a brand new facility so that's cool.

As far as kidney stones, I haven't been tested extensively. I mean, I've had my urine tested and it's always come back clean. But I've never been x-rayed or ultrasounded or anything.

Aw I'm glad you were able to decide- it sounds like you made the best decision.

A cheaper option for stones (I think it's cheaper...) is the testing where they put the dye in an IV and have the scanning machine overhead. I had a couple ultrasounds where nothing was found and then the IV dye had 7 stones a few days later that showed up immediately, lol :( If the docs can't seem to figure out what's going on, it's always worth a shot throwing out the thought of kidney stones & seeing what they think!

It's funny, my own doctor just had a lithrotipsy done last night because of a laurge kidney stone. He was in agony for over a week before finally having it done. So I think we all have kidney stones on the brain. But most of my pain is in the front. Would kidney stones cause that?

Methinks I would see another OB-GYN to get a second opinion. :(

Aw, I adore my OB/GYN though. But I know what you mean, I was so sure that what I was feeling again had something to do with the endo.

Also, have they ever checked for kidney stones?
